Ananda Sathralaya is conducting the Second Individual Age-Group Chess Championship on 2nd and 3rd May 2009. Players should report to the arbiters before 8.00 a.m. on 2nd May.

There will be 10 separate, individual events (Under 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 years, Boys and Girls). The tournament will be held according to the Swiss System over 5 rounds. Those who are below the respective age groups before 1 January 2009 are eligible to participate in the respective events.

The top 10 winners of each category will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals and merit awards. The two schools (girls and boys) that produce the largest number of winners will be awarded a special trophy each. All participants will be awarded certificates.
The entry fee is Rs 200 per person. The entries, with the relevant entry fees, should be handed over on 29th or 30th of March 2008 at Ananda Sasthralaya premises from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
